Saddleback College scored three runs in the top of the sixth inning with two outs against Coast's Brett Wallach.
Wallach walked Saddleback's Jeff Montegro, hit both Sean Parvin and Trevor Whyte to load up the bases and then Dalton Sype hit a two-run RBI single to make the score 2-0. The next batter Darren Coombs also hit a single to make it 3-0.
Leading off the bottom of the sixth inning, Pirates' D.J. Arelleno grounded out to shortstop and Ryan Sheeks popped out to left field.
Hoping to start a two-out rally like Saddleback, head Pirate baseball coach John Altobelli gave the green light to Mykal Stokes on a 3-0 count and came through with a single to left field.
The next batter, Drew Hilman, hit a double to give OCC's pitcher Brett Wallach an opportunity to help himself with runner on second and third base.
Wallach came through with a two RBI single.
The score is 2-3, in Saddleback's favor, through six innings. Saddleback has four hits, Coast has five hits and both teams have no errors.
